The Great Escape Bed and Breakfast Inn lives up to its name like no other. Located on a hilltop in La Llave, it is truly a gem of the island of Vieques. The guesthouse is surrounded by 4 acres of meticulously manicured land, including, almond, banana, orange, grapefruit, lemon and avocado trees and a wide array of tropical plants that bloom in a rainbow of colors across the vast estate.
Over 100 palm trees beckon in the breeze like good friends to take solace in the cool comfort of their shade. Great Escape is also located far enough from the road that, unlike many other guesthouses in Vieques, you don't have to worry about noise pollution created from roadways. The natural beauty and tranquility is unrivaled in Vieques and quite possibly the Virgin Islands at large.
There are 11 modern guestrooms and one apartment suite containing one bedroom, full kitchen and large dining area. The apartment, via connecting doors, can potentially be rented as a one, two or three bedroom. Most rooms have high or vaulted ceilings and all of them feature their own private balconies with ocean or mountain views. All rooms are naturally well ventilated, each equipped with two ceiling fans, and one room is equipped with air-conditioning as well.
